" We love La Herradura and have stayed ther many times in a variety of villas. Casa Perry is by far our favourite. We found the accommodation comfortable, well equipped and without the feel of a rental villa. The owners cater for every requirement even to the extent of providing a virtual full SKY tv package. It is well laid outand very clean. The pool is excellent and well maintained.. The garden is lovely and there are some wonderful views. Costa Tropical villas looked after us well. Rachel provided a personal touch which is often missing with many agents. She met us on our arrival and spent time with us showing us around the villa.She also recommended some restaurants, places to visit and gave us useful advice on the vagaries of local parking! The welcome pack provided was of good quality and much appreciated after a long journey. We would definitely go back assuming that this recommendation doesn't overboost its popularity! "

" We stayed at Apartmento Patricia for 2 weeks in August 2011 and enjoyed it very much. We booked through Costa Tropical Villas and found Rachel to be fantastic to work with - incredibly responsive both via email and telephone, answered all questions, greeted us on arrival (and stocked the apt with a few food essentials which was much appreciated after the long flight) and departure and very reachable should we have needed her during our stay. The apartment was clean, quiet, well equipped and three blocks from the beach and restaurants. La Herradura itself is a lovely small, friendly, non touristy town very geared to young children - if you are lucky enough to go - enjoy!!! "

" Casa Ola is a fabulous property where we stayed for two weeks in August 2011. When we walked through the front door, the views of the bay of La Herradura took our breath away. The property has full height glass windows overlooking the sea with views from every room. It is located on the Punta De La Mona, a hill overlooking the bay. The property is contemporary in design and finished to a high standard. It is extremely spacious, each of the 4 bedrooms is huge with its own bathroom and dressing area. The upper floor is open plan with living area, dining area and kitchen, and two bedrooms. The lower floor has the other two bedrooms, library and another lounge with wet bar with patio doors leading out to the infinity pool. The property is very well equipped for 12+ people with everything you could possibly want – washer, dryer, dishwasher, cooking facilities, air con, wifi, PS3, barbecue, sunloungers.
Casa Ola would be ideal for a large family or for 2 families sharing. We found it perfect for our family with 5 teenagers. It is situated 10 minutes walk from the town of La Herradura, a small Spanish town with a market, a selection of shops and restaurants and a 2 mile shingle beach with watersports facilities. The walk is very steep over grassland, so would not be suited to anyone with mobility problems. Rachel at Costa Tropical Villas was very helpful before, during and after our stay. She suggested places to eat and to visit, and was very responsive – when one of the air conditioning units stopped working she had someone out to fix it within the hour. I would definitely recommend Casa Ola and La Herradura, we very much enjoyed our holiday there. Kind regards "

" We really enjoyed our holiday. The level of cleaning, meeting and greeting was very good. It was very reassuring when Carl picked us up and helped us find our hire car, and led us to the house. It was great meeting you there, and the food and wine you provided was very welcoming and really necessary as we were too travel weary to find a restaurant. The welcome pack was very helpful and informative, and you were always at the end of the phone when we had any problems, all of them minor thankfully. The house suited us very well, the pool was prettily situated and the town and beach attractive and laid back. Over all, the level of service and our holiday was just fantastic! Regards, "

" Thank you so much for the wonderful service we received when we visited La Herradura last month. Everything from the meet and greet (at 11.30 pm), the welcome pack of food and drinks and the flexibility with checkout which effectively gave us another day of holiday was fantastic. I was so grateful for the loan of your hand blender for the baby food. It really was a personal service and the best that I have ever had in the many summer and ski rentals which we have had over the years. Another aspect which really impressed me was the range of cleaning products, to have dishwasher tabs, washing powder surface wipes and all of the necessary bin bags etc really makes a difference, saving time and money. If we decide on another holiday in the Costa Tropical we will definately be getting in touch with you again. Thanks again, "

" My husband and I took our three young children and my mother-in-law to stay at El Mirador for three weeks in August 2011. Prior to our holiday I found Rachel of Costa Tropical Villas to be most helpful in providing information helping us to choose our villa and for our initial arrival ( including directions). Despite our late evening arrival Rachel met us on the outskirts of La Herradura to guide us to our holiday home which was very much appreciated.
Upon arrival we found that Rachel had even taken the trouble to buy in a few food and drink basics as we had arrived on a Bank Holiday weekend. We loved the villa and had a wonderful holiday, made all the better by Rachel's timely and friendly assistance with any matters we needed help with. It is only my husband's uncertain work schedule that has prevented us booking the same villa again next year. I am delighted to recommend Costa Tropical Villas. Thanks again Rachel. "

" We had a lovely time in La Herradura and we were very happy with the services provided by Rachel form Costa Tropical Villas. We actually arrived over an hour early, but this wasn't a problem for Rachel who, having provided very clear directions and instructions, rushed out to meet us, ahead of schedule, before guiding us to our holiday villa. The villa was very clean and the kitchen had been stocked up with a few essentials (bread, milk, etc) and a few non-essentials (wine, snacks, etc). When it was time to leave Rachel arrived promptly at the time we'd agreed. In summary, Rachel was very efficient, knowledgeable (about the local area) and friendly both before and during our stay. I'd would definitely book through Costa Tropical Villas again. Best wishes "

" In apartmento Cynthia you will find everything for a super relaxing holiday and from it's terrace one has an "out of this world" vista across the bay. The only thing we missed was wifi but if you go to the library in La Herradura (around the corner from the covered marketplace) you can check your e-mail there. " We had another wonderful holiday in La Herradura and will certainly return again. We were seeking an apartment near to amenities such as restaurants, shops, bars and beach to avoid driving in the evenings. Apartmento Patricia met all of our needs including the two bathroom/shower rooms with hot water needed for two couples. The balcony enjoyed sunshine for most of the day with beautiful views across the whole bay. All aspects of selection, information, booking and communication with Costa Tropical were straightforward as all questions were answered quickly and accurately. Arrangements for our arrival and departure were also clear and worked well. They were also adjusted to meet our needs regarding arrival and departure to meet specific flight times. Rachel was available throughout our stay, without being intrusive, via mobile phone to answer any questions which arose. These were few because the apartment worked so well for us. The welcome pack provided enabled us to settle in as soon as we arrived and removed the early pressure to shop for supplies allowing us to instantly adopt the manyana culture necessary for a relaxing holiday in La Herradura. I shall certainly contact you again for our next visit. Thanks again. "

" I’d like to thank you for meeting us & helping us settle into the apartment. I doubt we would have located the apartment so easily ourselves! & it was good to have someone explain the hot water, how theTV, SAT etc works!! Saved us a lot of time – meaning we could just start our holiday! We really appreciated having hot water & a cool fridge on arrival especially after 23.00. Thanks for your shopping service – coming in late at night meant we would have no provisions – it was a great service getting the basics delivered so we at least had a substantial breakfast on our first morning! It was great having someone who lives locally & has local information about local bus stops & nearest shop, bars etc It was comforting to know that you were only a phonecall away should there be any problems or queries! The apartment was very fresh & absolutely spotless – lovely & clean with nice linens & fluffy towels – obviously well looked after! It was reassuring to hand over the keys on our last day knowing we had handed over the apartment as we had found it! Thanks for your services! The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable & clean. It was tastefully & freshly decorated & well appointed. The outside space with the wonderful seaview was a great bonus! It was lovely having all our meals in the fresh air. We were able to relax & sit out until late at night. Having access to a lovely selection of books was really welcome & we loved getting British TV to be able to compare the weather at home! We loved the quiet residential non-touristy feel of the location & it was perfect for walking into Almunecar & beyond! The Spanish neighbours are very friendly & we enjoyed being off the main tourist beat. The local bars were wonderful – just loved the range of tapas – in fact most days we did not bother with lunch as the tapas were substantial, varied & fresh. We mostly had very sunny days but even cloudy days were warm but we did not try swimming in the Med ........ not too many people venturing in during our stay - late March/early April! The rooms were surprisingly lovely & cool despite the heat outside. Although there were only 2 of us – your property would make a perfect location for a family with easy access to a park & the beach. The apartment was exactly as your description & photos on the website! Best wishes, "

" We stayed at the villa La Colina in La Herradura for 4 weeks during Feb. 2011. Rachel Langley of Costa Tropical Villas looked after us during our stay. The meet and greet service she provided was excellent, she showed us around the villa and gave us lots of information regarding the resort. The welcome pack was very welcome and meant that we did not have to dash of to the shops for the essentials. The villa was beautifully clean and very well presented. We had a problem with our dog during our stay and Rachel was very helpful and surpportive, she found an excellent vet for him for which we are very grateful. We found Rachel very friendly and informative, always on time, nothing was too much trouble for her. She came to the villa on our departure to wish us a safe trip.
