The town is situated on the beach road with many outside bars and restaurants. Water sports, tennis, walking, sailing, horse riding and hang gliding are some of the many activities that are available. Granada, Las Alpujarras mountains and the Sierra Nevada are all within easy travelling distance. The nearest town Almuñecar is 3 miles east and Nerja is 10 miles west.
