Villa Las Palmas provides spacious accommodation and would make an ideal holiday destination for people looking to stay in La Herradura. Its located on the Punta de la Mona side of the bay which is a beautiful green headland nestling between the stunning bay of La Herradura (horseshoe), and the tranquil beauty of Marina del Este.

The villa faces due south and is on a 400sq metre plot, its light and bright throughout, and the overall feeling is conducive to complete relaxation in a peaceful environment. The villa was carefully designed to avoid the necessity for air conditioning by placing bedrooms on the ground floor with no west facing windows .

The entrance hall leads to the spacious lounge/dining room, kitchen, guest toilet, and stairs to the ground floor. The lounge area seats 8 with 2 x 3-seater sofas, and a 2-seater sofa. A wood burning open fire provides warmth for guests in winter, and ceiling fans cool summer guests. A hi-fi is provided (please bring your favourite CDs) and the satellite TV has English free to view programs. French doors lead from the lounge to the terrace, via an alcove which houses a large writing desk, ideal for letter writing or laptop users  - ADSL wi-fi connection is provided

There are beautiful sea views from the south facing windows in the dining area. Further French doors lead from the dining area to the south and west facing spacious upper terrace, overlooking the pool and the sea.

In the large fully fitted kitchen, extensive oak units conceal a fridge, separate freezer, washing machine and dish washer. Electric oven and hob, espresso coffee machine and toaster are provided, along with all necessary utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. The triple aspect windows face south, west and north. A door leads directly from the kitchen to the lounge/dining area.

Downstairs, a hallway leads to the lower terrace, 3 bedrooms, and separate bathroom. The principal bedroom, with bathroom en suite, fitted wardrobes, double bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables, and ceiling fan, faces South, with views to the sea.

The second bedroom, also south facing, with bathroom en suite, fitted wardrobes, double bed, bedside tables, and ceiling fan, has the added advantage of its own French doors to the lower terrace and pool. Ideal for early morning swimmers!

The third bedroom faces east, has fitted wardrobes, 2 single beds, chest of drawers, bedside table and ceiling fan, with use of the separate bathroom. All three bathrooms have a bath with shower and curtain, a hand basin, WC and bidet

The marina is a must for a drink in one of the many cafes overlooking the boats, and for a walk up the natural "rock" which, like a mini Gibraltar, dominates the harbour. A few minutes drive away to the west is the beautiful secluded beah of Cantarijan (naturist - optional) with its welcoming sunbeds and shade in front of the La Barraca restaurant, which offers Cuban live music and dancing every thursday. A little further to the west in the next bay is the more peaceful but equally beautiful Canuelo beach which is ideal or snorkelling around the rocks in the crystal clear water. Almunecar, a bustling very Spanish town with its daily market for fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables, many shops, small cobbled streets and extensive beaches and restaurants is just a 5 minute drive to the east. Nerja, with its famous Balcon de Europa, caves, and wealth of restaurants, bars, and 7 beaches is just 15 minutes drive to the west. Originally a fishing village, Nerja maintains its original Spanish charm, with twisting streets and white buildings.

La Herradura is one of the few remaining unspoilt villages on the Costa Tropical that can offer a truly Spanish experience in a tranquil environment. The town is situated on the beach road with many outside bars and restaurants. Water sports, tennis, walking, sailing, horse riding and hang gliding are some of the many activities that are available. Granada, Las Alpujarras mountains and the Sierra Nevada are all within easy travelling distance. The nearest town Almuñecar is 3 miles east and Nerja is 10 miles west.
